Can anyone lean the skills of clairvoyance? Actually, it is possible for everyone to learn a certain modicum of skill in this power. However, it is important to define exactly what clairvoyance refers to and what we mean by the ability to learn it.
Some of the confusion here derives from the fact that the term clairvoyance has several different meanings. Some of the traditional definitions center on remote viewing powers or precognition skills. On a very basic level, this term refers to the ability to discover information about a person, place, or thing without using any of the five senses but from tapping into a latent sixth sense.
It is true that some individuals have extraordinary clairvoyant skills such as the ability to tap into the five senses to connect with something far away or to look into the past or future. But, no one truly knows how this works and science has lacked the ability to explain the process. Yes, there are many metaphysical explanations for such psychic abilities but no one particular explanation have emerged to truly define it. If there was one common denominator among all of these components it would be the simple notion that most people with these powers were born that way.
Is it possible for everyone to learn remote viewing or develop the ability to see into the future? No, but it is possible for everyone to develop a talent at developing a sixth sense.
Literally everyone has a least some clairvoyance or ’sixth sense’ capability. Oftentimes, you’ll have a certain hunch about something, or you have a feeling that you feel compelled to listen to, even though you don’t really have a logical reason to do so. You also don’t have a logical explanation for feeling this way. You may hear people say, ‘I don’t know why, but I feel uneasy about this,’ or, ‘I don’t know why, but I feel like we can trust him.’ What’s unfortunate is that although everyone has these feelings sometimes, they often ignore them and instead try to be ‘logical.’ That means that they ignore gut instincts, sixth senses, and so on.
Science acknowledges the validity and existence of instincts and gut feelings to some degree. Nevertheless, they claim this is not a supernatural, paranormal or psychic ability. Psychologists believe this is a phenomenon of the subconscious mind that notices small details, and signals that the conscious mind overlooks. This type of information is translated by your subconscious mind into feelings that guide you. In order to develop your sixth sense of clairvoyance, you need to learn to use and trust you subconscious mind.
Whether paranormal psychic ability or brain chemistry is the origin of your powers is irrelevant. The main point to center on is the existence of clairvoyant abilities and how to hone them. Here are the three most common ways to do this:
1. Improve Your Perception
Most people go through life with a sort of tunnel vision, where they’re so focused on what they’re doing in front of them that they become oblivious to everything that’s going on around them. Even so, though, these small details are hidden in plain sight, and our subconscious minds pick up on them. We get our instinct and hunches from this information, and if you can learn how to increase your perception, and become more aware of what’s around you and the details therein, you’ll be giving your subconscious mind more of what it needs to develop your sixth sense.
Of course, a great deal of practice is required in order to make this work. That is why you need to take steps to improve or increase perception. That means you need to slow down a bit. Relaxation is the key and moving through life at a leisurely pace is advisable. Turning off your car radio and driving in silence, for example, can have a tremendous effect. Removing things from your mind will allow you to become more aware of things such as the weather and your environment. This will have a clear effect on your skills to perceive things.
Finally, you can learn how to do so-called ‘mini meditations.’ With a mini meditation, you close your eyes, take a deep breath, and force yourself to relax. When you open your eyes again, you’ll be surprised at how much more aware you are of your surroundings. This will just take a few seconds, but you’ll be surprised at the difference you feel.
2. Meditate
Invest time in meditating at least 30 minutes a day. The general purpose of meditating is to alter and clear the conscious state of mind in order to allow your subconscious mind rise to the surface. This way it can do what is needed to work and communicate with the conscious mind. That is why people who meditate develop feelings relaxation when they are done.
Meditation isn’t really that difficult, but it does take some practice. It’s a little bit like me telling you not to think about a pink elephant, for example. Suddenly, of course, all you can think of are pink elephants. Similarly, when you first sit down and try not to think about anything, suddenly your focus is on something like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I’m not thinking about nothing.’ You’re also probably going to have your mind chattering away at you about how you’re doing things wrong and so on. Don’t worry; that’s normal and starts to clear up as you become more practiced at meditating, but you can help overcome this by focusing on a mantra.
Meditation can be difficult because your senses act as a means of distraction. Every little sound you hear and anything that you feel can prove quite distracting. So, it is best to avoid trying to shut down your senses and, instead, try to keep them busy with something you are focusing on. The flame of a candle can work well in this regard. As the flame flickers and shifts, you can watch it and keep your mind occupied.
And because the conscious mind with thoughts never shuts down, you need something ‘verbal’ to keep you occupied, too. This is where a mantra comes in. A mantra is simply something that you can repeat over and over and over again to yourself that’s soothing; it can be a poem, phrase, word, prayer, or even a song lyric. All that needs to happen is that you know it by heart and can recite it without thinking much. For example, many who are Catholics will pray the rosary as they meditate.
3. Trust Your Instincts
This may be the most important thing you do when it comes to developing clairvoyant abilities. It’s normal to doubt and second-guess yourself and you get started with this, but learn not to doubt those gut feelings you always get. Instead, follow them and see what happens. Know that your hunches and instincts exist for some reason, and that your subconscious mind is probably trying to tell you something. It may be something your subconscious mind hasn’t noticed, but yet it’s still important.
It can be challenging; however, as you learn to trust and listen to your gut feelings you will gain confidence in your clairvoyant tendencies. This will strengthen your sixth sense of clairvoyance and you will begin to trust and follow it.
