A Discussion On How To Develop Clairvoyant Powers
Clairvoyance is a French word meaning 'clear vision' (clair means clear and voyance means vision). Voyant is the adjectival present participle of voyance, so a clairvoyant is someone who 'sees clearly'. This is a literal translation; when the word is used in French it merely means someone with excellent vision. Of course, that’s not what we mean when using the word in English.
When the word clairvoyant is used to describe a person, it means that this person has exhibited some form of psychic ability. This is a rather broad reading of the word; more specifically, a clairvoyant is someone with the ability to perceive or know things without the use of their five physical senses – the terms clairvoyance and ESP are largely interchangeable.
A clairvoyant is usually involved in clairvoyance and that individual knows when something is happening at the moment and far from the range of that clairvoyants physical senses. There are, however, documented cases of a clairvoyant knowing of things happening either in the past or the future. Resulting in clairvoyance being considered by some as a form of prophecy or precognition.
The means by which a clairvoyant learns this information varies, but as a general rule can be broken down into one of six forms or types. It is clairvoyance that is most associated with this first type or form, the remote viewing phenomenon. The clairvoyant, in remote viewing, sees an object, location, event or person hidden from them. Sometimes this is in the form of visual hallucination, other times the clairvoyant viewing something using their minds eye.
The second form of clairvoyance is call clairaudience. A clairvoyant receives their information by sound. Hearing noises or voices which cannot be heard by other people or recording devices. The clairvoyant, in some cases, may hear voices of the dead. In this case the clairvoyant may cross the line into that of a medium.
Thirdly, this type of clairvoyance is clairsentience. In this form the individual gains information through feeling and touch. Some clairvoyants may need to actually touch an object that is not present. In other cases a feeling or vibration maybe felt by a clairvoyant from a remote distance from a person, location or event.
Clairalience is an extrasensory ability to perceive smells. A clairvoyant will smell the scents of another place (for instance, grass and flowers in a field). These scents cannot be smelled by anyone else and come from no apparent source.
The fifth form of clairvoyance is clairgustance. In this instance, an individual who has not eaten or drank anything tastes various flavors and there is no apparent source. They can also taste these flavors from a distance and describe them.
Sixth and final form is Claircognizance and perhaps the most difficult to explain or define. In this form a clairvonyant has information on a person at a remote distance. An object, person, place or event, but is unable to explain how they received that information. They just know it. Claircognizance is a catch all category, to some extent.
Many documentations of occurrences of people considered clairvoyants exist throughout history. From different cultures worldwide and has been incorporated into some religions of the world.
For example, in Buddhism, clairvoyance is considered to give humans the capability to reach advanced levels of meditation. And the ability to feel vibrations sent out by other people.
Clairvoyance in Catholicism has been consider a miraculous ability. A disciple of Saint Francis, Saint Claire, had a vision over five hundred years ago. In this vision she witnessed the death of Saint Francis while she was miles away at the time. She was made the Saint of television. The literal meaning of television is seeing over a distance.
None of these skeptics have yet to prove that clairvoyance does not exist. At the same time, the evidence which supports its existence continues to pile up and the public as a whole is starting to adopt a more accepting attitude towards the possibility of clairvoyance.
Whatever the skeptics have said, no one has disproved clairvoyance exists. And the evidence is increasing that genuine clairvoyants exists worldwide. Generally parapsychologists and scientists along with the general public are being more open-minded on the subject and accept the existence of clairvoyance and that’s it’s real.
