Is It really Natural To Be A Clairvoyant?
Clairvoyance is a French word meaning 'clear vision' (clair means clear and voyance means vision). Voyant is the adjectival present participle of voyance, so a clairvoyant is someone who 'sees clearly'. This is a literal translation; when the word is used in French it merely means someone with excellent vision. Of course, that’s not what we mean when using the word in English.
When the word clairvoyant is used to describe a person, it means that this person has exhibited some form of psychic ability. This is a rather broad reading of the word; more specifically, a clairvoyant is someone with the ability to perceive or know things without the use of their five physical senses – the terms clairvoyance and ESP are largely interchangeable.
A clairvoyant is usually involved in clairvoyance and that individual knows when something is happening at the moment and far from the range of that clairvoyants physical senses. There are, however, documented cases of a clairvoyant knowing of things happening either in the past or the future. Resulting in clairvoyance being considered by some as a form of prophecy or precognition.
The means a clairvoyant individual learns this ability varies and can generally be broken down to one of six categories. The first form or category is 'remote viewing' and perhaps is the most associated with clairvoyance. A clairvoyant views a location, event, person or object hidden from them through remote viewing. And occasionally takes the form of visual hallucination and at other times the clairvoyant views things with their 'minds eye.'
The second form of clairvoyance is call clairaudience. A clairvoyant receives their information by sound. Hearing noises or voices which cannot be heard by other people or recording devices. The clairvoyant, in some cases, may hear voices of the dead. In this case the clairvoyant may cross the line into that of a medium.
The third type is called clairsentience and in this form the individual receives knowledge by touching or feeling. This may be the act of touching an object which is not present and in other cases it may be a feeling or vibration the clairvoyant may feel from another person or event or place.
A fourth type is clairalience. In this form an individual gets the knowledge of places and events through their sense of smell. An example, they smell flowers and grass of a meadow in the spring, scent of blood or gun powder and no one around them can detect these smells and there is no apparent source to account for these smells.
The fifth form of clairvoyance is clairgustance. In this instance, an individual who has not eaten or drank anything tastes various flavors and there is no apparent source. They can also taste these flavors from a distance and describe them.
Sixth and final form is Claircognizance and perhaps the most difficult to explain or define. In this form a clairvonyant has information on a person at a remote distance. An object, person, place or event, but is unable to explain how they received that information. They just know it. Claircognizance is a catch all category, to some extent.
Clairvoyance is known around the world and is something which figures into every one of the world’s cultures. It is also something which makes up a part of many major religions.
For example, in Buddhism, clairvoyance is considered to give humans the capability to reach advanced levels of meditation. And the ability to feel vibrations sent out by other people.
Clairvoyance in Catholicism has been consider a miraculous ability. A disciple of Saint Francis, Saint Claire, had a vision over five hundred years ago. In this vision she witnessed the death of Saint Francis while she was miles away at the time. She was made the Saint of television. The literal meaning of television is seeing over a distance.
There are many skeptics, of course, about the existence of clairvoyance. But it is part of human nature for individuals to deny the existence of something because they do not understand it. Not too far back in our resent history the scientist denied there was such a thing as electricity and magnetism.
Whatever the skeptics say, they haven’t been able to disprove clairvoyance. The increase in evidence shows there exist many genuine clairvoyants in the world. Scientist, parapsychologist, and the public have become more open minded and accept the existence clairvoyance.
